‘MVA Exposed Itself By Trying To Protect Anil Deshmukh’ Will Give All Information To Home Secretary: Fadnavis

Mumbai: In a scathing attack on the Maharashtra government over Anil Deshmukh’s extradition, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said that General Secretary Vikas (MVA) exposed himself after trying to protect the home minister.

Addressing a press conference, the former Maharashtra Chief Minister said that he would go to Delhi and give all sensitive information to the Home Secretary.

Fadnavis has sought time from Union Home Secretary to meet him and hand him over 6.3 GB of data of call recordings and some documents pertaining to the alleged transfer posting racket of IPS and non-IPS officers of Maharashtra Police.

Rejecting Deshmukh’s claim that he was in isolation, Fadnavis said that according to police records of the VIP movement, the home minister visited Sahyadri Guest House on February 17 and the ministry on February 24.

“He was at home quarantine from February 15-27 but met officers, wasn’t in isolation. I feel Pawar Sahab wasn’t briefed properly yesterday,” he added.

Earlier today, Javadekar mocked MVA’s Common Minimum Programme and called it “Collecting Money through Police.”

Taking to his Twitter, the Union Minister said, “CMP of Maharashtra government is not Common Minimum Programme, but it is Collecting Money through Police.”

The BJP has cornered the MVA government over former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s allegation that Deshmukh had ordered Waze and other police officers to collect Rs 100 crore per month.
