NCP-Sena-Congress Will Form Govt Before Dec 1, CM Will From Shiv Sena: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai: Expressing his confidence Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Raut said that NCP, Congress and his party will form govt before December first week in Maharashtra and CM will be from Sena.

He also informed that the three parties will collectively decide on power-sharing in Mumbai.

“The time has come, the process of government formation will end before December 1 and the chief minister will also be decided. Till yesterday, marathon meetings of Congress-NCP were held at NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s residence here.” In the next two days we will move towards forming the government, ”said Sanjay Raut.

“The three parties will collectively decide on power-sharing in Mumbai,” he said.

Raut said, “The Chief Minister will belong to Shiv Sena. People want Uddhav Thackeray to become Chief Minister.”

After failing to form a government in the state, Maharashtra came under President’s rule.

The BJP, which emerged as the single largest party, could not claim to form the government as its ally Shiv Sena remained on a par with the division of the chief minister’s post and the cabinet.

The Shiv Sena parted ways with the BJP to find ways to form a government. However, it failed to prove the support of the required number of MLAs in the time given by Governor BS Koshyari.

Shiv Sena is now ready to form government in the state along with Congress and NCP.

In the 288-member assembly, BJP won 105 seats, followed by Shiv Sena 56, NCP 54 and Congress 44.
