‘No Bomb Blast Since Modi Era’: Sadhguru Claims Right Or Wrong?

Mumbai: The Isha Foundation’s founder, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev said that there has been no bomb blast since Modi became Prime minister and this should be appreciated.

Sadhguru made this claims on September 16 2018. He said, “We must know and acknowledge and appreciate and enjoy one thing…that in the last four years there have been no bomb blasts in the country..Whatever is happening is only in the border area and unfortunately in Kashmir,”

However, FactChecker Research firm has disagreed the claims by saying that there were 406 blasts took place in India as per 2016 data. According to government data submitted to parliament on 11 April, 2017, and FactChecker research, 400 bombings were reported itself in country in last four years toll 2018.

These bomb blast include improvised explosive devices (IED) and explosive ordnance which killed 100 people and injured more than 500, the government statement said.

In 2016, Jammu and Kashmir reported the most bombings (69), followed by Manipur (64), both states hit by terrorism and insurgency. Chhattisgarh – roiled by left-wing extremism – reported the most IED blasts, followed by Manipur and Kerala.
