No New COVID-19 Case In Himachal Pradesh, 2 Active Cases

Mumbai: The Health Department said that no new coronovirus cases have come to light in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday and there are only two active cases in the state.

The two cases operating in the state are from Sirmaur and Mandi districts and are being treated at ESIC in Badri and SLBSGMC in Nerchouk in Mandi.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health) RD Dhiman said that out of the 472 samples sent for testing on Tuesday, 158 were tested negative for infections while the rest of the report is awaited.

These tests are being done in five laboratories in the state.

They are Dr. of Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Tanda in Shimla. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC), Himalayan Biosource Technology (IHBT) Institute at Palampur is at Kangra, Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College (SLBSGMC) at Nerchowk Mandi and Kasauli. Central Research Institute (CRI) at Solan.

A total of 42 coronovirus cases have been reported in the state.

Four patients including 16 from Una district, six from Chamba, five from Solan, four from Kangra, two from Hamirpur and one from Sirmaur district have been recovered so far.

Ten of the total 12 districts in the state are now coronavirus free. These include Kangra, Una, Chamba, Hamirpur, Solan, Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Bilaspur and Kullu.
