Parents, Children Must Spend Quality Time Together During Lockdown: Kejriwal

Mumbai: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that his government’s program ‘Parenting in Coronas Time’ aims to turn this huge crisis of coronavirus into an opportunity while at home.

Speaking about the initiative, Kejriwal said, “Our objective is to turn this crisis into an opportunity while at home. Parents and children get the opportunity to spend time with each other. They can do it in quality time see as.”

Kejriwal said that earlier parents used to be busy during their children’s holidays, but now they have time to be with their children due to the nationwide lockout.

He said, “In the last 20 days, all the schools in the national capital have been closed. This is an extraordinary situation due to coronavirus. The only way to avoid it is social discrimination.”

The Delhi Chief Minister said, “54 lakh students study in various schools in Delhi. Children want to go out and play because they are energetic. Their outdoor sports activities have been stopped due to the lockout.”

“When we announced the program, a lot of interesting questions arose. Many parents are complaining that children are spending a lot of time on mobile phones and watching television.
