Petrol, Diesel Prices Hiked For 12th Time In 14 Days

Mumbai: Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked for the 12th time in 14 days. Petrol in Delhi now costs ₹103.81/litre after being increased by 40 paise/litre, while diesel price in the national capital has gone up to ₹95.07/litre from ₹94.67/litre.

These prices were revised for the very first time on March 22 after a gap of more than four months.

Petrol and diesel prices were increased from Rs 118.83 per litre to Rs 103.07 per litre in the financial capital Mumbai.

In addition, the prices of both the transport fuels were hiked in Kolkata. The price of petrol increased to Rs 113.45 and that of diesel to Rs 98.22 per litre.

These were also increased in Chennai and there the price of petrol is now Rs 109.34 and diesel is Rs 99.42 per litre.

Till last Tuesday, fuel prices were stable from November 2021, when the Center reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 per liter respectively.
