PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates Asia’s Largest Solar Power Project In Madhya Pradesh

Mumbai: In a recent development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Asia’s largest 750 MW solar power project in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh on Friday through video conferencing.

The Prime Minister said, “Today Rewa has really created history. The place has been identified with mother Narmada and white tiger. Now the name of Asia’s largest solar power project has also been added to it.”

“With this solar power project, the people of Madhya Pradesh and the industries set up here will not only get electricity, but the metro rail in Delhi will also benefit from it. Apart from Rewa, similar work is underway at Shajapur, Neemuch, and Chhatarpur,” the Prime Minister added.

He said, “When all these projects are ready, Madhya Pradesh will definitely become a center of cheap and clean electricity. The biggest benefit of this project will be to the poor, middle-class families, farmers, and tribals of the state.”

In particular, this mega solar power project consists of three 250 MW solar power units located on 500 hectares of land located inside a solar park.

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has been provided with the central financial assistance of Rs 138 crore for the development of the solar park.
