President Of BSP Mayawati Will Not Compete For Upcoming LS Polls

Mumbai: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and President of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Mayawati will not compete for upcoming due Lok Sabha elections from any of the seats.

Seeking the current ‘political situation’ of the country, she said she will not compete for LS polls.
The president said, ‘for winning, I just have to nominate myself. I know I can win any of the seats but for me, it is important that our party should win more seats’.

She tweeted saying, ‘When I became UP CM first time in 1995 I was not a member of either UP Assembly or Council. Similarly is provision at the Centre where a person has to be an LS/RS member within 6 months of holding the office of minister/PM. Don’t dishearten from my decision not to contest LS poll now’.
