President Ram Nath Kovind’s Plane Can’t Fly Over Pak’s Airspace: Pakistan

Mumbai: Pakistan has reportedly denied the passage of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind’d plane through its air space. According to the reports the president had requested to use the airspace as his plane was to pass through Pakistan to Iceland.

The Pakistani Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan will not allow India to use their airspace as there were tensions between both the countries over the scrapping of Article 370 of Jammu and Kashmir and thus removing their special rights.

The news agency AFP reported that Qureshi said that the decision was made owing to India’s recent behaviour on bilateral issues. India on the hand has stood firm on their words saying that the decision about Jammu and Kashmir is strictly an internal matter.

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan said that the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan himself has approved the decision of rejecting India’s request to let it use Pakistan’s airspace. Also, Pakistan has closed its airspace for Indian aeroplanes after the Pulwama attack, as the attack followed an aerial fight but it reopened its place for civilians in July.

President Ram Nath Kovind is said to be visiting Switzerland and Slovenia on Monday. There Mr, Kovind will hold discussions with the leaders of the countries over issues such as cross-border terrorism.
