Group Of Civilians Attacked By Terrorist, 30-Months-Old Baby Injured
Mumbai: The militants targeted a family and shot four which included a minor girl in Danerpora area of Sopore in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists fired upon the civilians and injured several people who were then admitted to the hospital. It is reported that the condition of the people was stable.
A 30-month-old baby Asma was also injured along with others. The authorities are trying their best to transfer the baby to Delhi for advanced medical care. The terrorists, however, have escaped the site but the police authorities and security agencies are trying to track them down.
The Srinagar District Magistrate Shahid Chowdhary said, “Baby Asma of 30 months is amongst the injured in the militant attack on fruits merchants in Sopore. She didn’t deserve this. We’ve put in all the efforts to get an air ambulance ASAP to take her Delhi for advanced medical attention. Prayers are requested.’
Pakistan had resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Krishna Ghari sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Another terrorist attack came during the lockdown and communication blockade in the state, imposed on August 5 before article 370 was scrapped. The reports suggest that many cases of violence have occurred in the valley over the last 32 days. But the government has maintained that the situation is calm.
This terrorist attack that occurred on Saturday is one amongst such other incidents that are not otherwise reported.
