President’s Rule Imposed In Maharashtra

Mumbai: President’s rule has been imposed in Maharashtra. This is after Presidents have signed the proclamation recommending President’s rule in Maharashtra. As governor invited the top 3 parties to form the government but none of them has not got that number to form the government.

Earlier in the day, Governor recommended President about the President’s rule in the state and as President has signed it, it’s confirmed that Maharashtra has come across President’s rule.

The President signed the notification following the recommendation of the Union Cabinet which acted on the report from the state Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

Earlier, governor of Maharashtra invited BJP to stake claim over govt formation but the party failed later Shiv Sena got invited to form it’s govt though Sena stake claimed the governor refused to provide 48 hours more to speak with the other party.  

Lastly, Governor invited Nationalist Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar but the party failed to do so.

In recent assembly Election BJP bagged 105 seats whereas Shiv Sena got 56 seats.
