Prithvi Shaw And Rishab Pant Make’s Big Gains In ICC Rankings

Virat Kohli continues to dominate in ICC rankings

Mumbai : In a another development Indian captain Virat Kohli continues to dominations as he remains the number one batsman. Whereas a big surprise for all is debutant Prithvi Shaw and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishab Pant have have made big gains on the latest ICC rankings following the home series against the West Indies.

Shaw, who led India to victory in the U19 World Cup this year, after a century on debut,  finished his wonderfull knock at Hyderabad Test in 60th place, a gain of 13 slots after knocks of 70 and 33 not out.

Meanwhile Wicketkeeper batsman Rishab Pant played will in both the test matches have climbed upwards his knock of 92 saw him gain 23 places to reach 62nd position. As he started the in 111th position, he would be satisfied from his performance and ranking gains, but on the other hand he missed his century consecutively in both matches.

Coming towards Indian middle order, Ajinkya Rahane gained four places to reach 18th position after his knock of 80. In Balling department Umesh Yadav has been inform, whereas he took 10 wicket haul and become the third Indian fast bolwer and also gained four slots to reach 25th position.

For the visiting team West Indies, captain Jason Holder main an wonderfull gains in all department, his haul of five 56 in India’s first innings has helped him four places to a career-best ninth position among bowlers while his first innings half-century was good enough to help him gain three slots to reach 53rd position.

Holder has also overtaken South Africa’s Vernon Philander to third position among all-rounders.

Other players from west Indies in the rankings include Roston Chase, whose first innings century helped gain 10 slots and reach 31st position, and Shai Hope, who has gained five places to reach 35th position.

The 2-0 series result sees top-ranked India gain one point while the West Indies have lost one point, without any change of positions in the team rankings.
