Rahul Says Party, Not Him, Will Decide On His Successor

Mumbai: As speculation continues on his next move, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that his party will decide who will be his successor and who will not.

Interacting with media Gandhi said, is not the person to make a decision on his successor.

After the defeat in the election, Rahul Gandhi is stuck on leaving the post of party president, but the Congress Working Committee deciding the highest decision of Congress has rejected his proposal to resign and told him to restructure the party levels.

Meanwhile, the Congress chief also said that Rafale was “theft” in the fighter jet deal.

Rahul Gandhi was replying to a question about Rafale, in which the joint meeting of the two Houses of Parliament was mentioned in the address of President Ram Nath Kovind. Rahul Gandhi told reporters outside Parliament, “I maintain my stance that Rafael is theft in the Jet deal.”

Rahul has been saying that corruption has happened in the Rafael deal and this deal should be thoroughly investigated.

Congress has already asked to investigate the alleged corruption in the Fighter Jet deal. The government has denied any kind of corruption, wrongful or favouritism in the deal.
