Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn Are Some Key Players Released BY Kolkata Knight Riders

Mumbai: KKR has released some of their key players namely Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn and Piyush Chawla. These three players continued part of the playing eleven in last season and these are not back up players which they were not required.

Robin Uthappa who is a good middle-order player and keeper which offers so much with the bat in any condition is the important player.

Chris Lynn is one of the biggest names in Big Bash League of Australia. He is a hard-hitting batsman who can change the course of the match quickly.

As Kuldeep Yadav was struggling in last season, Piyush Chawla was the go-to spinner for KKR. He bowled in power-play, Mid innings and in death as well. KKR will look to get a leggie but, If we look in the pool there is no promising Indian Leg spinner.

Although the team had gained immense popularity due to its association with celebrity owners. The team’s performance, however, improved from the fourth season as it qualified for the IPL playoffs as well as the Champions League Twenty20.

They eventually became the IPL champions for the first time in 2012, by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the final and repeated the feat in 2014, defeating Kings XI Punjab. The Knight Riders hold the record for the longest winning streak by any Indian team in T20s.
