Mumbai: RR all-rounder Riyan Parag, who was named Man of the Match for his performance against RCB, has said that he’s paying RR back “bit by bit” for showing faith in him for the last three years.
Notably, Parag also took four catches during RCB’s innings. Parag credited the RR team for showing faith in him after winning the player of the match award and said that he is satisfied with his performance against Bangalore. “A bit of satisfaction. The Royals have shown faith in me for the last three years, and I am paying them back bit by bit. I love the pressure and I am just showcasing my abilities. During the time-out, Sanga came out and we agreed that 140 was a good total on this wicket. We decided to go big in the last two overs. I wanted to target Hasaranga in his second over, but we lost wickets, and so I had to strategize and go after Hazlewood and Harshal,” Riyan Parag said in a post-match presentation. Kuldeep Sen’s four wickets and Riyan Parag’s unbeaten 56 helped Rajasthan Royals register a 29-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MCA Stadium here on Tuesday. Apart from Kuldeep, Ravichandran Ashwin took three and Krishna took two wickets.
