Russia Backs India On The Kashmir Decision

Mumbai: After several tries on Pakistan’s side to take the Kashmir to the international level, the country is again planning to send a letter to the UN’s General Assembly. During the first attempt, however, all the countries took the Indian side and Pakistan had to return disappointed. On Wednesday the Russian envoy in India again backed India.

The Russian envoy, Nokolay Kudashev said, “This is the sovereign decision of Indian government, it’s an internal matter of India. All issues existing between India & Pakistan should be resolved through dialogue on the basis of Shimla agreement and Lahore Declaration.”

Roman Babushkin said that his country had no role in India’s Kashmir issue. “During the closed-door event at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), we reiterated that Kashmir is an internal issue of India.”

Except for China, Russia, France, the US, UK have all sided with India. Though the United Kingdom initially supported Pakistan in UNSC outcome it immediately backed out when the Indian official put it like,” the prodigy and its mentor wiggling their hands”

After the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s meet with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev, the Russian envoy elaborated their support. This statement also came after the meeting of Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar’s meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Pakistan has threatened to start the war and that if it happened it would not be good. The entire world has been waiting for India and Pakistan to resolve their issues through peaceful conversations without the use of arms as both nations are equipped with nuclear power.

India though has constantly tried to make its neighbour understand that the abrogation of article 370 and all issues related to Kashmir was an internal issue. The Indian government has also added that there was need of Pakistan or any other foreign power to interfere with the issue.
