Maharashtra’s ruling party, which contested the 2019 state elections along with the BJP, broke ties with one of its oldest allies over the issue of sharing the chief minister’s post.

Talking to reporters after an event in Jalna, Danve said, “Shiv Sena left us (BJP) for the chief minister’s post. We didn’t leave it. It is for the people to decide whether they ran away from the BJP or not. The marriage was fixed with us, but they eloped with others.” Also Read: BJP, RSS Turning Lord Ram Who’s Symbol Of Love Into Rambo: Bhupesh Baghel
