Mumbai: Adding another weather it is cap, England pacer Stuart Broad Broad became the second bowler to scalp 400 wickets in this decad.
In the ongoing Test match between South Africa and England, skipper Faf du Plessis became the 400th wicket of Broad at the Supersport Park here. Broad has so far bowled 11 overs and taken two wickets. He also bowled four maiden overs in his spell. The spectators won the toss and opted to bowl first.
33-year-old Pacer now joins the list, with compatriot James Anderson taking 428 wickets. The other three spinners in this list are Nathan Lyon of Australia (376), Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka (363) and R Ashwin of India (362).
Earlier in the day, Anderson became the fifth bowler in this decade to take a wicket on the first ball of a Test match. Anderson had Dena Elgar (0) caught at the hands of the wicket-keeper Jos Buttler on the very first ball of the match.
