Sunil Yadav Fielded Against Kejriwal In BJP’s Final List Of Candidates In Delhi

The Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal has already released the names of all its candidates who will contest the Delhi Assembly elections in 2020

Mumbai: In the final list of candidates for Delhi Assembly elections, BJP has fielded Sunil Yadav against CM Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency.

Yadav is the President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s Delhi unit. BJP has also named Tajinder Pal Bagga, who will contest from the Hari Nagar constituency. The voting will be held on February 8.

The Congress has nominated Romesh Sabharwal, former president of the Delhi unit of the National Students Union of India, to fight against Kejriwal. This will be Romesh Sabharwal’s first major election in his 40-year political career.

The Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal has already released the names of all its candidates who will contest the Delhi Assembly elections in 2020.

The second list of the BJP for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections also names Tajinder Pal Bagga, who will contest from the ruling AAP’s Princess Dhillon from Hari Nagar constituency.

According to the list, Ramesh Khanna will contest from Rajouri Garden, Manish Singh from Delhi Cantt constituency and Sumanlata Shoken from Nangloi Jat.

The BJP, in its first list released on 17 January, fielded 20 new faces in the Delhi Assembly elections, out of which 57 candidates announced their sitting with several members (MLAs) of the Legislative Assembly.
Of these 57 candidates, four are women and 11 are from the Dalit community.

The BJP faced a tough battle in Delhi where it has been out of power for more than two decades. The party was able to win only three seats in the last assembly elections in 2015 and the AAP won a landslide victory with 67 seats.

Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on 8 February. The counting of votes will take place on 11 February.
