Taliban Attacked Afghan Police Station, 95 Wounded

Mumbai: A car bomb exploded on Wednesday outside a police station in Kabul and wounded 85 people in the process. And according to the government officials, the Taliban has officially taken the responsibility of the attack.

It was in the morning when the streets were busy the bomb had gone off. The Taliban said the recruitment centre had been bombed by one of their suicide bombers.

The violence in Afghanistan continues to intensify as the Taliban appears least interested to solve the long run dispute. Even though the US and Taliban are close to signing a pact wherein the US will withdraw its troops if the Taliban agreed to stop using the country as a base for carrying out all the nefarious activities. As per the US let NATO mission about 20,000 foreign troops, most of which are Americans are stationed in Afghanistan to train and assist the Afghan army.

According to the internal sources, the bomb went off when a car stopped at a check post outside the police station.

A similar situation occurred on 5th August when a private bus carrying employees of the Afghan Television centre was bombed in Kabul. The bomb was attached by a magnet and it blew off, injuring the passersby and the employees two people were declared dead due to that incident but the bombers are still missing.

The security forces conducted raids in several parts of Kabul overnight and had successfully destroyed a major militant hideout. The violence in Afghanistan is rising, with the bomb last occurring after every two days of the first incident. The Taliban had also warned the Afghanistan news channels that they will take action if the New stations don’t stop airing Anti- Taliban content.
