Those With Few Seats In LS Trying To Topple Modi Govt By Orchestrating Protest in JNU, Says Prasad

Mumbai: Union Home Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad slammed opposition over Jawaharlal Nehru University violence which took place on January 5.

The Union Minister said that those who have very few seats in Lok Sabha are trying to topple the Modi government through orchestrating protests in Jadavpur University and JNU but they won’t succeed in their attempt.

“Those who want to get registration for the next semester were stopped. A leftist group was determined not to allow those students to read. They resorted to violence when they did not succeed. Servants. Has been broken twice. They have the right to protest. JNU is a reputed central university that runs on the money of taxpayers. Action should be taken against those resorted to violence, “Prasad told ANI.

“Are any of the leaders of opposition parties visiting JNU specifically stated that barbaric servers are not correct. Parties that have 3-4 seats in Lok Sabha think that opposition in Jadavpur or JNU Will they be able to perform? ” Drop the Modi government. But they will not succeed.

On 5 January, a masked mob entered the JNU campus and attacked students and teachers with sticks and batons, injuring many of them.

The minister said that everyone has the right to protest but it should be peaceful.

He also alleged that BJP MP Swapan Dasgupta was kept closed by the Students Federation of India (SFI) at Vishwa Bharati University in Birbhum, West Bengal on Wednesday for seven hours.
