Time To Say Talaq, Talaq, Talaq To BJP And SP: AIMIM Chief Owaisi

Mumbai: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi while addressing a gathering amid Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections said on Friday that it is time to say “talaq, talaq, talaq” to the BJP and SP in the state.

Addressing a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district ahead of the third phase of assembly elections, Owaisi said both the parties are “two sides of the same coin”, news agency PTI reported.

“It seems that Yogi Adityanath and Akhilesh [Yadav] are brothers who had parted ways. Both have the same mindset. Both are cruel and arrogant,” Owaisi said.

He said Adityanath considered himself “the vizier (prime minister) of the sultan (king) sitting in Delhi”, and added that one who becomes the emperor in politics has to be removed.

The AIMIM chief further said that the time has come for the people of the northern state to make both Adityanath and Akhilesh sit at home.

Owaisi said in the election meeting, ‘Dalits, backwards, minorities and poor will benefit only when they are made to sit at home. The AIMIM chief said that both Adityanath and Akhilesh do not attach any importance to the Constitution, and only want to “gain power for themselves”.

Owaisi said the BJP won the votes of backward classes in the name of “Hindutva” in the 2017 assembly elections, but gave power to “Baba (Adityanath)”, who later shifted it to “Thakurwad (Propagation of Thakurs)”. Attacking the Akhilesh-led SP, the AIMIM chief stated that the only development done during their regime was of “chacha, nati and pota”.
