Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh reported 511 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, which increased to 5,94,175.
The number of deaths due to infection has reached 8,514, with 10 more fatalities in the last 24 hours. It was 8,504 on Monday.
Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that active cases in the state have now come down to 10,560, of which 4,018 are in domestic isolation and 1,012 are in private hospitals.

He said that treatment is going on in other government hospitals.
Prasad said that so far 5,75,101 patients have recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals.

He said that over 1.29 lakh samples were tested for coronavirus on Monday, which is more than 2.55 crore total number of tests done in the state.
