Watch: NDRF, Indian Navy Rescue Operation Underway For Stranded Passengers From Mahalaxmi Express
Mumbai: Due to heavy showers in Mumbai, water-logging has been reported from many places like Sion, Matunga and Andheri whereas Trains are running late in the downside of the region.
Meanwhile, Mahalaxmi Exxpress has been stuck for 12 hours near Badlapur and Vangani. The train which is carrying around 700 passengers on board was stranded since 3 am.

As the rescue efforts were on, the official handles of the NDRF, Navy and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office tweeted some pictures and videos of rescue efforts.
As a pre-assessment party, a Seeking helicopter was launched with divers equipped with auto-inflatable craft for deployment in the field.
After the continuous rain in the last 24 hours in Mumbai and adjoining areas, #IndianNavy incl, eight flood rescue teams have been mobilized with rescue materials, inflatable boats and life jackets from three diving teams. As a pre-assessment party, a sewing helicopter with divers equipped with the auto inflatable craft has also been launched for deployment in the region.
