We Experienced The Strength Of Togetherness Of 130 Crore Indians Yesterday: PM Modi

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that people of every section and age group of society demonstrated unity by responding to the Prime Minister’s ‘9 pm-9minute’ appeal on Sunday and strengthened the resolve to fight against COVID-19.

“We experienced last night at 9 pm, the strength of solidarity of 130 crore people of our country,” PM Modi said.

He praised the citizens of the country for supporting the bandh imposed across India in view of the threat of coronavirus.

Prime Minister Modi said, “The maturity shown by the people during the lockdown in a big country like India is unprecedented. One could not have imagined that this obedience and sense of service of Prime Minister Modi would make people follow it.”

“I said with full responsibility that this is a long war against the coronavirus epidemic. But we do not need to get tired or rest in this war. We have to emerge victoriously. Today, the country has only one goal and one resolve – to win this war,” he added.

The Prime Minister kept on saying that the government has developed the Arogya Setu App through which anyone can get information about infected cases around them.

“I request all of you to let people know about this, everyone should make sure that at least 40 other people install it. They will get information through it that in possibly infected cases around them. In these tough times, we have to ensure this,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the BJP workers and the nation on the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) 40th Foundation Day.
