With The Spike Of 5,609 Cases And 132 Deaths, India Stands at 1,12,359 Covid-19 Cases

Mumbai: The number of Covid-19 cases in India surged to 1,12,359 as the country reports 5,609 positive cases and 132 deaths in the last 24 hours.

There are about 63,624 active cases in India including 45,299 recoveries. The death toll surges to 3,435 as per the statistics provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The state-wise figure shows Maharashtra with 39,279 cases and 1,390 deaths. Followed by Tamil Nadu 13,191 cases and 81 deaths and Gujarat with 12,537 cases and 749 deaths.

India strives to gain economic revival amid coronavirus pandemic in its fourth phase of nationwide lockdown by easing restrictions on travels and other businesses.

However, the surging cases in the country have made the authorities release statements of “living with the virus” recently.
