Woman Dragged Into Forest And Gang-Raped By 3 As She Went To Temple In UP
Mumbai: A woman was dragged into a forest and gang-raped by three youths in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district as she went to a temple with her fiancé on May 15.
Following a complaint by the survivor’s family, the police arrested the three accused on Sunday.

According to the police, the victim is a resident of a village in the Babni area. The incident happened on Saturday when she along with her fiancé went to worship at a temple on Motkipahari hill in the forest area. The three accused youths, who came to cut wood in the forest, dragged the young woman into the forest and committed gang rape.

Later, the victim’s family lodged a police complaint, after which a case was registered and an investigation was launched. The three accused were arrested while the survivor was sent for medical examination. Sonbhadra SP Amarendra Prasad visited the crime spot for an inspection, according to a report by The Times of India.
