10,000 Troops Deployed In Jammu And Kashmir

Mumbai: In order to curb the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir region a decision to deploy 10,000 troops of parliamentary forces was taken by National security advisor, Ajith Doval. Sources said that the Security advisor himself visited the region and checked for himself the plans.

The region has fewer troops for the purpose of keeping the area safe. And hence more troops were requested.

Mr Ajith Doval made a 2-day visit to the Kashmir valley and met with the serious officers and reviewed the laws and order situation for protection. The state is still under the President’s rule. Terrorism is fast increasing in the Kashmir valley and that citizens safety is still at risk.

The home ministry issued an order stating that troops from different companies will be deployed in order to maintain the regions peace, control terrorist happenings and maintain order. Each company contain 1000 to 2000 of forces. The senior officer, Dilbag Singh said they have already requested to the higher authorities for more troops. Earlier around 40,000 extra paramilitary forces were brought for the security of Amarnath yatra.

On 24th February, around 100 companies of paramilitary forces were deployed, and it was said that the reason behind deployment was the Lok Sabha elections in April and May. Any other speculations regarding the troops are just speculations and are invalid.
