12-Yr-Old Rapes And Impregnates 17-Yr-Old TN girl; Arrested After She Delivers Baby
Mumbai: Police in Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur have arrested a 12-year-old boy for allegedly raping and impregnating a 17-year-old girl. The girl was hospitalised a few days ago after complaining of severe stomach pain and doctors informed her parents she’s nine months pregnant.

According to reports, a 17-year-old girl who became pregnant has recently given birth to a child. A case has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act 2012 for raping a minor.
Based on the victim’s statement, the 12-year-old boy has been arrested and the police are further probing whether any other person was involved in the case.
Police said that both the victim and the accused lived in the same locality. The police also said that both had dropped out of school.
The Times of India reported that the victim developed severe abdominal pain and was admitted to the Government Hospital in Raja Mirasundar on April 16.
When she was examined, doctors came to know that she was nine months pregnant. The minor girl gave birth to a baby girl on the same day when she was taken to the hospital.
After getting information about the case from the hospital, the police of the women’s station interrogated the girl.
Based on the girl’s allegations, the 12-year-old boy was arrested and sent to a juvenile home in Thanjavur.
