23 New COVID-19 Cases In Karnataka, Tally Touches 1,079

Mumbai: The Health Minister said that 23 new coronovirus cases were confirmed in Karnataka on Saturday, taking the affected number to 1,079 in the state.

The department said in its daily bulletin that the total cases included 494 discharges, 548 active cases, 36 coronovirus deaths and non-COVID-caused coronovirus patients.

In the latest cases, 14 were from Bengaluru urban district alone, followed by three in Hassan and one each in Mandya, Udupi, Dharwad, Davangere, Ballari and Davanagere.

Two cases of Udupi women and one-year-old girl are involved in 23 cases.

The biggest contributor to Saturday’s rally was Bengaluru, where 14 people tested positive for the disease.

The three positive cases from Haasan and one from Dharwad had a travel history to Mumbai, whereas the Udupi girl had an international travel history. She had returned from Dubai.
