24 Ministers Take Oath In Gujarat’s New Cabinet Under CM Bhupendra Patel

Mumbai: A total of 24 ministers took oath in the new cabinet of Gujarat on Thursday in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and former CM Vijay Rupani.

The swearing-in of the new cabinet was to take place on Wednesday but was delayed due to wrangling within the party over the posts, a senior BJP leader had earlier said on conditions of anonymity.

Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office to 14 ministers of state, including 10 cabinet ministers and five ministers of state with independent charge, at the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

The following were sworn in as cabinet ministers: Rajendra Trivedi, Jitu Vaghani, Rushikesh Patel, Purnesh Modi, Raghavji Patel, Kanubhai Desai, Kiritsinh Rana, Naresh Patel, Pradip Parmar and Arjunsinh Chauhan. Trivedi, Rana and Raghavji Patel have been ministers earlier as well.

Harsh Sanghvi, Jagdish Panchal, Brijesh Merja, Jitu Choudhary and Manisha Vakil took oath as ministers of state with independent charge.

Mukesh Patel, Nimisha Suthar, Arvind Raiyani, Kuber Dindor, Kirtisinh Vaghela, Gajendrasinh Parmar, R C Makwana, Vinod Moradia and Deva Malam are the nine Ministers of State.

Bhupendra Patel took oath as the Chief Minister on Monday.
