3 Arrested In Alwar Gang-Rape Case

Mumbai: According police three out of five have been arrested in connection with the Alwar gang rape case.

IG Jaipur S. Segathir said that fourteen police teams were deployed to catch the other two accused.

The arrested persons were identified as Indrapras Gurjar, Ashok and Mukesh.

“Two rape accused are absconding, Mukesh shot a video and uploaded it to social media, he was arrested under the IT Act,” the IG said.

Asper reports the women were raped by five men in front of her husband.

On Tuesday night, the Rajasthan government had removed Rajiv Rak from Alwar, citing administrative reasons and awaiting the order of his posting.

According to the SC / ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, the State Government has released an interim relief of Rs 4.12 lakh for the victim.

The incident took place when the woman was travelling with her husband on a motorcycle. The police said that the accused stopped them on the Thanagaji-Alwar bypass and dragged the couple into an isolated area, where they allegedly raped the woman and threatened her husband with dire consequences.

Both of them initially did not report the incident to the family members, but when the accused called the husband and threatened to broadcast the video after not giving money, he told the family members about it.
