40 Security Personnel Injured In Clash With Protesters At Srinagar Baramulla Highway

Mumbai: According to the media report, about 40 security personnel deployed in Patna area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir were injured in the stone pelting by protesters demonstrating the rape of minor in the Sumbal area of ​​north Kashmir’s Bandipore district last week.

Police said that in some parts of Baramulla, a total of 47 security personnel, including an assistant commandant of SSB, were injured on the National Highway today.

For the past week, on May 9 in Kashmir valley, there is unrest and protests against rape with a three-year-old girl. The police have allegedly arrested the accused, who live from the same area.

Former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have also condemned the incident, urging for speedy justice.

Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah tweeted saying, “Must ensure a speedy investigation with only one consideration and that is to identify the guilty, prepare a watertight case and ensure exemplary punishment to those responsible.”
