Alex Hales Takes Break Due To “Personal Reasons”
Mumbai: Alex Hales who has been included in the Aussies squad for the WC has taken a break due to personal reasons.
The thirty-year-old didn’t appear at the county side Nottinghamshire 50 over format against Lancashire on Friday.
“Alex Hales return hasn’t been set up as a timetable, he didn’t make it due to his personal reasons, back out,” ICC quoted.
Alex has been hitting 6 hundred off his 70 ODIs, he hit a 147 run knock against Australia, which helped England to break the record of highest total after setting up 481/6 last year.
England will face Ireland in a one-off ODI before taking upon Pakistan in the T20I and five ODIs. Hales has been named for these matches.
The host of the WC will play its warm-ups before against Australia and Afghanistan and then start its campaign on May 30 against Australia.
