Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims Advised to Leave J&K Amid Security Threat

Mumbai: In view of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, officials issued security advice in the interest of pilgrims to Amarnath, after which the Indian army confirmed the intelligence information of the possible terror attack – and said that “they can immediately stop their migration in the valley. And can take the necessary measures to return to the earliest.”

The government order dated August 2, 2019, read that the Yatra may be curtailed keeping in mind the security of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Chinar Corps Commander Lt General K J S Dhillon on Friday said, “A Pakistan Army landmine has also been recovered from one of the caches of terrorists. This clearly indicates that the Pakistan Army is involved in terrorism in Kashmir, this will not be tolerated.”

He stressed that Pakistan is trying to disrupt peace in Kashmir. “We are investigating the type of IED and IED specialist terrorists whom we are holding and ending the fact that Pakistan is trying to disrupt peace in Kashmir. We assure the ‘Awam’ of Kashmir that nobody will be allowed to disrupt peace.

“The searches are still going on. The Pakistan Army is desperate to disrupt peace. This will not be allowed to happen. No one can be allowed to disrupt the peace,” said Lt General Dhillon.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted the response to the advisor: “Though this unprecedented order seems to be the real fear of a massive terrorist attack directed by Amarnath Jaiatris or/and tourists, this feeling is low There will be nothing to do. Fear and foreboding which is presently in the valley. ”
