AP Reports 10,000 New COVID19 Positive Cases, State Tally Rose To 3,45,216
Mumbai: Andhra Pradesh once again reported more than 10,000 new coronavirus cases, pushing the tally to 3,45,216 on Saturday.
With over one thousand cases reported in four districts, 10,276 new Covid-19 infections were reported in the state.
In addition, 97 more deaths occurred in the 24 hours ending at 9 am on Saturday, taking the death toll to 3,189.
The latest bulletin stated that 8,593 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering.
The state now has 89,389 active cases after a total of 2,52,638 people have recovered.
The infection positivity rate increased to 10.82 percent after a total of 31,91,326 trials were conducted so far.
Meanwhile, India on Saturday recorded the highest-ever single day peak of 63,631 recoveries from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the recoveries exceed the active cases by more than 15 lakh and the recovery rate stands at 74.69 percent, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
