Bangladesh Extends Shutdown till May 5 As Coronavirus Crisis Surge

Mumbai: Local media reported on Thursday that Bangladesh has extended its nationwide shutdown until May 5 as part of measures to prevent the spread of the coronovirus epidemic.

Bangladesh News quoted Minister of State for Public Administration Farhad Hussain as saying, “The holiday will be extended from 26 April to 5 May. The government will issue a gazette tomorrow [Thursday] in this regard.”
