Mumbai: Ben Stokes had been involved in a Bristol incident in September 2017, where he was involved in a fight that was outside a nightclub.
He was also further suspended from the Australian tour test series by the ECB and the case finally concluded last year.
“No matter what happens in my life, I will always be carried with the Bristol thing with me no matter what, always will,” Stokes said.
Stokes was about to lose his career after the incident. He said, “I was that close to losing my career and being thrown away.”
Not demotivating himself he looked upon the positive sides of the incident and responds that it had tremendously changed the way of his thinking.
“It sounds definitely silly but the Bristol thing could be the best thing that has happened to me. Who knows? But maybe in terms of my thinking.” Stokes said.
“I don’t want to be remembered as a guy who had a fight on the streets rather for the things I do as a player on the field,” he signed off.
