Deadliest Terror Attack 40 CRPF Jawans Died In Jammu & Kashmir

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, Jammu and Kashmir has faced biggest terror attck of 2019, the attack took place when the convoy was passing through the Gundipura section of the Srinagar-Jammu highway in the Avantipora area of ​​Pulwama.

The convoy was made of buses, trucks and SUVs. In each bus / truck, 35-40 CRPF troopers were boarded.
The terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad took responsibility for the deadly attack. A spokesman for the banned terrorist organization said that “the vehicles of dozens of forces were destroyed in the attack”.

News Agency ANI, adviser to the Jammu and Kashmir government Citing Vijay Kumar, at least 40 CRPF personnel were killed in the city of Avantipora in Pulwama district on Thursday evening.

Reports also adds that around 25 jawans were injured in the attack that took place on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Awantipora’s Goripora area.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack and said that the sacrifices of ‘brave security personnel shall not go in vain’. He later spoke to National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted saying, Terrible news coming from the valley. A number of CRPF soldiers are reported to have been killed & injured in an IED blast.
