Brazilian President Bolsonaro Thanks PM Narendra Modi For Supplying Hydroxychloroquine
Mumbai: The President of Brazil, Jair Bolonaro, thanked India for supplying hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of coronovirus patients.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bolsonaro said that his country would also be able to treat patients with lupus, malaria and arthritis due to India’s decision to supply hydroxychloroquine.
“We have more good news. As an outcome of my direct conversation with Prime Minister of India, we will receive, by Saturday, raw materials to continue our production of Hydroxychloroquine so that we can treat patients of COVID-19 as well as of Lupus, Malaria, and Arthritis. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India for such timely help to the people of Brazil,” Bolsonaro said.
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump thanked PM Modi for India’s decision to supply coronovirus medicine to that nation.
While the US has the highest number of coronovirus cases in the world, Brazil has confirmed about 16,000 coronavirus cases, with 800 deaths so far.
