Chennai Super Kings Beats Delhi Capitals By Six Wickets

Mumbai: Match 5 CSK VS DC,The Delhi capitals started their season with a 37-run win over Mumbai Indians on Sunday night, while Super Kings were forced to work hard for their goal of 71 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener.

After winning the toss Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer decided to bat first, MS Dhoni would have bowled any rate and hopes the wicket will stay the same.

DC opening pair played well Prithvi Shaw and Shikhat Dhawan started of well scored 43 runs. Shaw couldn’t make it well losses his wicket scoring just 23 runs.

Captain Shreyas Iyer was playing well but couldn’t make it through as lost his wicket to Tahir. DC started losing their wickets Pant scored 25 of 13, on the other side local boy Shikhar Dhawan played well scored 51 of 47 balls, but lost his wicket to DJ Bravo. With the loss of 6 wickets Delhi Capitals managed Only 147 runs.

DJ Bravo took 3 wickets in his 4 over spell.

Chasing the small target CSK started of well socked 53 runs in power play with the loss of 1 wicket it was not easy chase to Chennai as Axar Patel bowled Really well in his 4 over spell just provided 16 runs.

For CSK opener Shane Watson scored 44 runs of 26 balls whereas Ambati Rayudu disappointed as he lost his wicket in a early stage. It was pretty good partnership between Kedar and Dhoni played sensible cricket.

It was thrilling 19th over where CSK needed 2 runs of 6 balls but lost wicket of Kedar in the  first ball of the over, new batsmen DJ Bravo was not able to time the ball properly when they needed 2 runs of 3 balls but on the next ball

Bravo pulled through square leg and that’s the game it was boundary and Chennai Super Kings registered their second win of the season. MS Dhoni scored 32 runs of 35 balls not out.

For DC Amit Mishra took 2 wickets in his 4 over spell.
