China President Xi Jinping To Arrive In Mahabalipuram Today

Mumbai: China President Xi Jinping is all set to arrive in India on Friday, for his second informal summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mahabalipuram town of Tamil Nadu

Xi will accompany Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Politburo members on his visit to India. From the Indian side, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and EAM S Jaishankar will accompany the Prime Minister.

Well, the meeting comes at a time when China has supported Pakistan in raising the matter of Article 370 abrogation.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that the upcoming Chennai Informal Summit would provide an opportunity for the President of China and PM Modi to continue their discussions on issues of bilateral, regional and global importance and to exchange views on the India-China closure development partnership statement. The summit will be mostly similar to the one held earlier in April 2018 in Wuhan, China.

Xi will arrive at Chennai International Airport on Friday afternoon, while the Indian Prime Minister will arrive in the city shortly before noon. The two leaders will meet in Mahabalipuram in the evening and visit some UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

He must have guided three monuments – Tapasya of Arjuna, an intricately carved ancient sculpture; Krishna’s Butter Ball – a large round boulder bent over a slope; And Panch Rath – a five chariot memorial complex.

On Friday evening, a cultural program will be organized in honor of the leader who comes to Shore Temple. Modi will host the Chinese President for the dinner.

On Saturday, delegation-level talks of Modi and Xi will be followed by a one-on-one meeting.

No Memorandum of Understanding (Memorandum of Understanding), signing of agreements or joint communiqué will be issued.

Shortly before Xi leaves for Nepal, Modi will host a lunch in honor of the Chinese President on Saturday afternoon.

This is not the first time that the Prime Minister is hosting Xi outside the national capital. In 2014, Modi welcomed the Chinese President to Ahmedabad.
