Communications From Lander ‘Vikram’ Lost: ISRO
Mumbai: it would be a huge loss for India and ISRO as we lost communication, Chandrayaan-2 had already been hit by the Vikram lander before it reached ISRO’s ground station, while the nation eagerly awaited its soft landing at the unexplored lunar south pole in the early hours of Saturday.
After concluding this link, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the scientists, saying: “The nation is proud of you, be courageous.”
As the lander’s powered lineage began at around 1.38 am ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) scientists captured their terminals, anticipating a soft landing.

This was when scientists began to get stressed and went into a stir.
ISRO Chairman K Sivan was seen in intense discussion with some scientists.
Soon he announced that the Vikram Lander dynasty was planned and the general performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km.
Later communication from the lander to the ground station was lost, he said, adding that the data was being analyzed
The Prime Minister said, “Wave (scientists) gave their best and have always made India proud”.
