Stand Still And Look Forward India Is With You, PM Narendra Modi Says After Vikram Lander Loses Contact

Mumbai: PM Narendra Modi addressed nation and ISRO control centre in Bangaluru soon after the backdrop of Chandrayaan-2’s lander ‘Vikram’ losing contact with ground control around 2.1 km from the lunar surface.

The descent of Vikram was planned and the general performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently, communication from Vikram Lander to ground stations was lost, with ISRO stating that the data was being analyzed

PM Modi started praising all the scientist saying, ”You all have spent sleepless nights. These obstacles will strengthen our resolve.”

“Friends I could feel what you were doing a few hours ago, your eyes were telling a lot. You live to honour India, I salute you, ”PM Modi congratulated ISRO scientists.

“The whole country was worried about the last few hours. Everyone stands in solidarity with our scientists. We are proud of our space program. Today our resolve to touch the moon has become stronger,” Modi said.

He went on saying, “Stand still and look forward. India is with you. The lessons learned from today will make us stronger, ”PM Modi encouraged scientists to remove Chandrayaan-2 lander Vikram after it was lost.

He further said, “In our illustrious history, we have faced moments that have slowed us down, but they have never crushed our souls. We have bounced again and gone on to do fantastic things. That’s why That our civilization is long. ”

“There is a significant journey and effort as a final result. I can proudly say that the effort was worth it and that the journey was what it was. Our team worked hard, travelled far and those sermons would always be with us. From today onwards The lessons learned will make us stronger and better ”, said PM

The PM said that our resolve to touch the moon has become even stronger, we have come very close, but we need to cover more grounds, concluded.

Earlier PM Narendra Modi tweeted saying, “India is proud of our scientists! They’ve given their best and have always made India proud. These are moments to be courageous, and courageous we will be!”

“Chairman @isro gave updates on Chandrayaan-2. We remain hopeful and will continue working hard on our space program,” he added.
