Congress Named Ashok Gehlot New CM of Rajasthan And Sachin Pilot As Deputy CM

Mumbai :  After Madhya Pradesh its time for Rajasthan, Congress announced Ashok Gehlot as Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Sachin Pilot as Deputy CM.

Congressman Supervisor of the state, Shri C. Venugopal announced in media briefing here that Gehlot thanked Gandhi for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of the state for the third time and promised that he and the pilot would be “good governance”.

“We will meet the governor today and will decide on the details of the oath-taking ceremony,” Venugopal added.

Congratulating new Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Indian National Congress Party tweeted saying “we wish him the best as he takes on this new appointment with vigour, sincerity & a commitment to our democratic values.”

Meanwhile giving the best wishes to Deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot Congress tweeted saying “A young & dedicated leader, he is sure to bring development, peace & happiness to the people of Rajasthan.”

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Sachin was nominated from the Ajmer constituency. Pilot, sitting MP from Ajmer, was defeated by a margin of 1,71,983 votes by Bharatiya Janata Party’s sitting MLA Sanwarlal Jat.

Whereas after five year of hard work in the 2018 Legislative Assembly elections, Pilot won from the Tonk seat, after defeating Yunus Khan by a margin of 54,179 votes.
