COVID-19: 5,611 Positive Cases And 140 Deaths Reported, Highest Spike In The Country
Mumbai: India reports the highest spike in the number of Covid-19 cases as the Country reports 5,611 positive cases and 140 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The country’s total cases surge to 1,06,750 including 61,149 active cases and 3,303 deaths. About 42,297 people have been recovered and discharged according to the statistics given by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on Wednesday.
The state-wise stats showcase Maharashtra bewildering with infection as the total toll reaches 37,136 with 1,325 fatalities. Followed by Tamil Nadu with 12,448 cases and 84 deaths and Gujarat with 12,140 cases and 719 deaths.
National capital witnessed 10,554 cases and 168 deaths so far. More than 24 Lakh people have been tested according to the data released by the ICMR.
