COVID-19 Positive Cases In India Reaches 2301, Death Toll 56

Mumbai: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the total number of coronavirus cases in India increased to 2301 on Friday, including 156 treatment and discharge and 56 deaths.

Currently, there are 2088 COVID-19 active cases in the country.

The Health Department stated, “Total COVID-19 positive cases increase to 2301 in India, including 156 treated/discharged, 56 deaths and 1 stay.”

The most positive cases of coronavirus were recorded in 335 Maharashtra, including 16 deaths, followed by Tamil Nadu (309 and 6 deaths) and Kerala (286 and 2 deaths).

There are 219 coronavirus positive cases in the national capital, including 8 fines and discharges and 4 deaths.
States that have crossed the 100 marks for COVID-19 positive cases include Andhra Pradesh (132), Karnataka (124), Rajasthan (133) and Telangana (107).

In Chandigarh, 18 people have been detected for coronavirus, while 70 cases have been confirmed from Jammu and Kashmir and 14 from Ladakh.

One COVID-19 case from Mizoram and Assam has been confirmed in the North-East, and two in Manipur.
