England Women Sealed The ODI Series From The Host Sri Lanka

Mumbai: England women bowled out Sri Lanka at 174 in their 50 overs, continuing the momentum out in the game and on to the series, the England batsmen quite sensibly and easily reached to the target.

England batting – A. Jones and Beaumont made it, even more, easier for the team to get there at their just 26.1 overs. The 127 run Partnership for the first wicket between Jones and Beaumont assured the match and the ODI series in England’s way.

Sri Lankan batting plus the bowling appeared to be helpless to the respective side.

Ani Jones scored 76 runs off 58 deliveries. Her consistent form continued since the first and the second ODI which England had made to their fist, she scored – 79 and 54 runs respectively.

All three ODIs count towards the ICC Women’s Championship, which determines qualification for the 2021 World Cup.

The visitors will now face the host on March 24 for the first of the three-match T20 series.
