Farmers Could Have Chosen Any Other Day Instead of January 26: Narendra Singh Tomar
Mumbai: Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said on Monday that agitating farmers may choose another day for a tractor rally instead of 26 January.
Talking to news agency ANI, Tomar further said that this rally, organized in a peaceful manner without any accident, would be a matter of concern for the farmers and the police administration.

They (farmers) could have chosen any other day instead of January 26 but they have announced now. Conducting rally peacefully without any accident would be the concern for farmers as well as policy administration,” Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

When asked when will the farmers’ agitation get over, Tomar said that the protest will end soon.
“Anyone can express dissent if they disagree. When we saw that some farmers, although their no. isn’t very high, were protesting against (farm) laws, we thought that we must find a solution via dialogue, & we still hope that issue will be resolved,” Agriculture Minister Tomar.

On the other hand, farmers started gathering at the Ghazipur border between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh for the proposed farmer tractor rally on the eve of Republic Day. Tractors from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan have also reached the ticking border between Delhi-Haryana as farmers have been protesting for almost two months.
The farmers had proposed to organize a Republic Day tractor rally on Outer Ring Road in Delhi. However, three routes were allotted in addition to the one proposed for the rally from three border points in Delhi, Special Police Commissioner (CP), Intelligence in Delhi Police, Dependra Pathak informed on Sunday.
