Former Congress Spokeperson Priyanka Chaturvedi Joined Shiv Sena

Mumbai: After resigning from Congress Priyanka Chaturvedi on Friday joined the Shiv Sena.

While addressing a press conference with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thakre, Chaturvedi said that after leaving the party workers, she left Congress, who misbehaved with her.

Chaturvedi said in response to a question, “It is not true that I left the Congress after being deprived of the Lok Sabha ticket.”

Welcoming her to the fold of the party, Thackeray said that Shiv Sena workers got a “good sister” in Chaturvedi.

Chaturvedi had publicly fluttered the party on Thursday and accused it of giving priority to “Lumpen goons” who give their “sweat and blood” to the Congress.

She said that it is unfortunate and sad that the people who threatened her have gone away without “a rap on their knees”. The Congress, which suspended these workers, restored them on April 15.
